After twenty years the world famous Yindee’s restaurant is still home of the finest authentic Thai cuisine on offer in Cape Town. With numerous awards, accolades and excellent critical reviews, we serve with pride from an extensive menu of traditional dishes as well as our chef’s special recommendations. Our food is lovingly crafted to take your senses on a journey through the mystical and exotic Thailand. Complemented by a selection of fine wines from across the Cape wine region and housed within an historical Victorian national monument in the popular Kloof street dining district. I recommend Yindees for a large gathering of friends – ask for the chilled back room with cushions on the floor.  It’s also great for an intimate dinner with someone special in a pretty Victorian house."

    "I have spent some considerable time in Thailand and grew very attached to their Pad Thai staple as it's cheap and readily available. As a result, I've scoured Cape Town to try and find the ultimate Pad Thai to match, and Yindee's is definitely one of my top faves! Awesome location on buzzing Kloof Street, have always received fantastic service from the attentive staff, and just love their little floor-seating area. I find it a very authentic experience and look forward to going back every time!"

    "Have been using this restaurant on my Cape Town trips for a few years now and never disappointed. Not a great fan of food that relies too much on chilli tho! Visited 3 times during my stay My waiters were sympathetic to my needs and ensured that my dishes were not too fiery. My favourite dish was the yellow chicken curry which was super."

    "Came here to celebrate a birthday, we had beautiful food and he was given a birthday ice cream with a sparkler. The restaurant is in a lovely building with a slight view up to Table Mountain. A nice touch is that you get a lunch bar (a chocolate bar) in your glass when you arrive at the table. You won't need a sweet snack though as the Thai food is great."

    As good as ever after all these years - "My mum was visiting from England and her choice of restaurant for her birthday celebration was Yindees as we had been there on a couple of her previous visits. It did not disappoint.  The food was excellent and great service with a lovely atmosphere. Long may it continue."

    "We have been here twice now, and both times it was excellent! Service is friendly, informed, and spot-on. The food is nicely prepared and delicious. Portions are smaller than typical American portions which was a plus for us because we were able to order some starters and get more tastes bites that way. We loved the tempura prawns, yellow and red curries. The red curry has a great kick to it. If you are going on a Friday or Saturday night a reservation would be very helpful - even on a rainy Sunday night they are still quite busy. Enjoy!"
